Se vende por pares en fibra de vidrio maciza, compatible con Futures, en smoke. 5.21" de profundidad sobre una base de 6.27" —más base que altura, que es terreno de keel— pero el rake es suave y el perfil moderado en vez de lleno, así que nunca sigue recta como sí hace una keel de verdad. Foil plano. Se sitúa entre los dos diseños clásicos a propósito y toma prestado de ambos: el drive y la potencia de una keel, con la maniobrabilidad y la respuesta de una twin intactas.
Cómo se traduce eso
La base es drive y agarre; la altura es lo que permite que una quilla gire. Esta está cargada hacia la base, así que la tabla agarra a lo largo de un bottom turn en olas con empuje de verdad y sigue empujando en vez de irse por detrás. El perfil moderado y el rake suave dejan respuesta suficiente para transiciones rápidas de abajo arriba, que es justo lo que una keel completa regala. Bajo los pies se nota estable y fuerte más que skate.
A quién le va
A fishes de cola ancha, fishes retro y a cualquier twin que se suelta demasiado en cuanto el mar llega al pecho y por encima: puntas y paredes limpias con potencia detrás. A surfistas más pesados, y a los que vienen del thruster y empujan fuerte a lo largo de un giro y quieren que la quilla se quede en su sitio mientras lo hacen.

Keep enough of the drive and hold of the keel while introducing the release and looseness of the upright twin.
Way more single fin than Thruster, but still with the ability to jam it in the hook of the wave.
Our take
A hybrid fin that refuses to apologize for leaning keel. Bottom turns go long and committed — the wide base delivers keel-level drive and projection while the moderate rake and height let you actually pivot out of the turn. Riders looking for snappy skate-release exits will find it claustrophobic; everyone else gets the drive without the lock-in.

The Beamish Twin was designed by Carpinteria shaper Christian Beamish of Surfboards California and is produced by True Ames in solid fiberglass with a raw sanded finish. It comes in one size with a Futures-compatible base, measuring 5.21 inches tall with a 6.27-inch base, and carries 80/20 foils and 5.5 degrees of cant. It was built for Beamish's twin fin boards — round-pin channel bottoms and double-wing swallows — which cluster in the 5'7"–6'2" range.
