La Boomerang es un set de thruster dibujado por Jeff Grennan desde la escena de gliders y mid-lengths de San Diego: área mínima, mucho rake, hecho para velocidad en trim y glide.
Se vende como set de tres en fibra de vidrio maciza, compatible con Futures, en azul, smoke, amarillo o verde. La plantilla va muy echada hacia atrás y lleva poca área para un set de thruster, y es un intercambio deliberado: menos quilla en el agua, menos resistencia, y una tabla que sigue corriendo la pared en vez de verse frenada por sus propias quillas. Salió de la cultura de gliders y mid-lengths de San Diego, impulsada y diseñada por Jeff Grennan, nativo de allí.
Cómo se traduce eso
El rake lleva el área de la quilla hacia atrás, por detrás del cajetín, así que el giro se alarga y la tabla mantiene su velocidad a lo largo de él en vez de pivotar y perderla. Quitar área al mismo tiempo deja menos que arrastrar por el agua: la velocidad en trim sube y la tabla sigue planeando donde un set más lleno la hundiría. Lo que este outline no va a hacer es agarrar fuerte en el pocket ni cerrar de golpe arriba. Pide que lo surfees en líneas largas.

Our take
Run the Boomerang on a glider or mid-length when you want trim speed and long flowing lines from a thruster setup — it draws speed out of trim instead of asking you to pump for it. If you want a cluster that turns tight and breaks loose off the top, this is the wrong tool. It is the fin for the rider who measures a wave by how far they can run it.
