La CI Spicy es una single fin de estilo vertical diseñada en colaboración con la buena gente de Channel Islands. True Ames cogió ese outline esbelto y ese perfil de rake contenido que recuerda a las single fins clásicas de los años 60 y 70, y lo puso a punto con un foil y un perfil de flex actualizados para el rendimiento de hoy.
Fruto de un esfuerzo colectivo junto a Devon Howard y Britt Merrick, esta quilla se creó pensando en la mid-length Tri Plane Hull de CI, una tabla que mezcla un casco de planeo inspirado en Greenough con el outline de egg de Al Merrick y los perfiles de rail y de rocker de estilo moderno de CI. Pero la quilla no se limita en absoluto a ese diseño de tabla: funciona genial en tablas variadas de tamaño medio.

Our take
Buy this for hull-influenced mid-lengths, modern eggs, and anything in the 7'0"–8'6" range that wants to flow. It was built for the CI Tri-Plane Hull and that's still the best pairing — purpose-built for a specific board type, versatile enough to work on others, but most honest when the board underneath it is doing what the Tri-Plane Hull does.

An upright, slender-outlined single fin in the 8"–9" range, developed by Britt Merrick and Devon Howard of Channel Islands for the CI Tri-Plane Hull mid-length and built by True Ames at their Goleta shop. The template combines a trimmed base and conservative rake with flex concentrated in the tip; a volan construction is also offered, which shifts flex from the tip into the body. It fits single-fin mid-lengths, eggs, and other boards in the 7'0"–8'6" range with planing bottoms and moderate rocker.
