La quilla
La KC Tri de Kevin Connelly: el juego thruster polivalente para surfistas de peso medio, compatible con FCS, en fibra de vidrio maciza.
Un juego de tres quillas construido en torno a giros suaves y potentes más que al pivote seco, con suficiente flex en la punta para que la quilla se descargue al final del arco. Esta es la versión en fibra de vidrio maciza: el laminado más pesado y de tacto más rotundo de los dos. La plantilla mide 4.67" de profundidad sobre una base de 4.56", 15.71 sq in de área.
Cómo se traduce eso
El flex de la punta es lo que separa a este juego de un thruster rígido: la punta cede un poco bajo carga y se recupera al salir del giro, y por eso los cutbacks se cierran con menos esfuerzo del que sugeriría la plantilla por sí sola. El cuerpo se mantiene firme, así que no se sacrifican ni el drive ni el agarre para conseguirlo.

Our take
Run it on a thruster shortboard or performance hybrid when you want smooth, powerful turns and the planted, connected feel of solid glass, especially if you fall in the middle-weight range. If you want the same template lighter and livelier, go Hexcore; if you'd rather slide the tail loose than carve through it, look at a release-oriented quad instead.

The KC Tri Fiberglass is a True Ames thruster set in solid fiberglass with an FCS-compatible base. The template is a medium thruster outline with moderate rake, a solid base, and flex concentrated in the tip rather than the body; the solid-glass layup makes it heavier and more planted than a foam-core fin. It is aimed at middle-weight, all-around surfers on thruster shortboards and performance hybrids, and the same template is also offered in lighter Hexcore construction.
