A 3.25" side bite pair in solid fiberglass, FCS-compatible — the small outside fins that turn a single-fin board into a 2+1.
Side bites convert a single-fin board into a 2+1: the centre fin still does the steering, and the two small fins add hold through a turn and drive off the bottom. The trade is some of the loose, pivoty feel a single fin has on its own, which is why size is the real decision.
At 3.25" these are the least intrusive of the three. They add bite without taking much of a log's looseness away — the size to run if you want a hint of hold and nothing more.
Solid fiberglass is the stiffer, heavier of the two constructions — less flex, more direct drive.

The reduced area is the point: it grips when the board is on rail and stays quiet when you are trimming, so the single-fin character survives.
Run this pair on a 7'0" to 8'0" mid-length 2+1 with a 6.5" to 7.5" center fin when you want extra hold on rail without losing single-fin glide. If you are building a full longboard 2+1 and want more drive, step up to the Side Bite 3.7.
The True Ames Side Bite 3.25 is a pair of side fins in FCS-compatible solid fiberglass, 3.25 inches tall. It is sized for 2+1 setups on roughly 7'0" to 8'0" mid-lengths, paired with a center fin in the 6.5 to 7.5 inch range. The same template is also made in lighter Hexcore construction and with Futures-compatible bases, and a larger 3.7 inch size exists in the range.
