Patterson lleva shapeando para surf de alto rendimiento el tiempo suficiente como para que su plantilla de quilla sea prácticamente una declaración de lo que debería hacer un thruster de shortboard: agarrar cuando la cargas, soltar cuando la descargas y no darte sorpresas por el camino.
La geometría
Base y altura son casi iguales, con rake moderado. Esa combinación está deliberadamente en el término medio: no se especializa ni en drive ni en pivote, y eso es lo que la convierte en una opción por defecto más que en una elección sobre la que tengas que estar seguro.
Construcción
La construcción Hexcore es más ligera que la fibra de vidrio sólida y flexiona más, lo que se traduce en una quilla más viva y elástica.
