La quilla
Ninguna colección está completa sin una D-fin tradicional, de la vieja escuela. Popular en su día como glass-on en los años 60, hoy ofrecemos la D-2 como quilla de cajetín para quien tenga ganas de probarla y darse un viaje al pasado.
La superficie completa de la D-2 permite ajustes sutiles de dirección, pero el atractivo principal es lo fácil que resulta el noseride. Si quieres pasear down the line y acumular buenos ratos en la punta mientras rindes homenaje a los días clásicos del longboard, esta es tu quilla.

Tiene una base de 9.75” y entra en un fin box estándar de 10” porque True Ames le hizo un voladizo en la parte trasera de la quilla. Puede que tengas que quitar el cordón del leash del cajetín, pero la mayoría de quienes montan una D-fin tampoco usan esos accesorios tan modernos

That full area is what holds the tail down and keeps the board tracking straight enough to walk forward without the nose washing out — built for big, heavy logs and Pig shapes, where mass and a planted tail are the whole game.
Our take
Buy the D-2 for a heavy traditional log or Pig where noseriding and classic glide are the point: it plants the tail for serious tip time and does not want to turn off the tail. If you want to actively turn the board, the Beamish Storm Rider is the looser single, and a larger Greenough 4A is the noserider with a bit more turn available.
MÁS SOBRE ESTA QUILLA
The D-2 is a traditional D-fin made by True Ames in solid fiberglass, 9.0" tall with a 9.75" base that fits a standard 10" fin box via a rear overhang. The template reproduces the full-area, rounded-D glass-on fins of 1960s longboards in box-fin form. It is intended for heavy traditional logs and Pig-style longboards.
