La quilla
Diseñadas por el gurú del shape Wayne Rich, estas side bites se hicieron para complementar su quilla central Power Tilt, aunque funcionan increíblemente bien con un montón de quillas centrales. Algo más verticales que las side bites estándar, tienen la zona de la punta un poco más fina y algo más de alivio en el borde de salida. Al añadir estas side bites a la quilla central notarás más estabilidad y sumarás sustentación y proyección. Las WR Side Bites de 3.4" van muy bien para riders más pequeños, para tablas más pequeñas o para quien quiera un añadido más sutil. La talla de 4.0" es ideal para riders de tamaño medio a grande, para tablas más grandes o para quien busque un agarre y un drive más marcados.

They run slightly more upright than a standard side bite, with a thinner tip and relief through the trailing edge, which is what makes them turn with precision rather than just adding drag.
Our take
Run these with a dropped-down center fin, ideally the Power Tilt they were designed around, on a performance longboard or mid-length when you are a bigger rider or surfing bigger waves and want maximum rail hold. For a looser feel or a smaller board, the 3.4 inch version is the move.

These are Wayne Rich's 4.0 inch side bites, sold as an FCS-compatible pair in solid fiberglass by True Ames. The template runs slightly more upright than a standard side bite, with a thinner tip and relief through the trailing edge. They were designed to complement Rich's Power Tilt center fin but pair with most center fins in a 2+1 setup, and a smaller 3.4 inch version is also made. The 4.0 size is aimed at larger riders, bigger boards, and bigger waves.
