La quilla pivot de Renny Yater, en tres alturas: vertical, profunda y cortada para clavar la cola.
Una quilla pivot es el extremo vertical del espectro del longboard: poco rake y la mayor parte del área situada debajo de la tabla en vez de quedar por detrás, de modo que la tabla gira alrededor de la quilla en lugar de trazar un arco alejándose de ella. La de Yater es la versión clásica de esa plantilla —agarre por delante de la soltura, clavada por delante de suelta—, en fibra de vidrio maciza con acabado gloss y pulido, en 8", 8.5" y 9".
Cómo se nota
La profundidad y un borde de salida vertical son lo que sostiene un noseride: la cola se queda anclada mientras caminas hacia delante, y el giro sale de empujar la tabla alrededor de un punto fijo en lugar de trazar un arco. Lo que no va a hacer es proyectar down the line como lo hace una quilla con rake, y tampoco va a dejar que la cola deslice.
Para quién es
Logs tradicionales que se surfean para pasar tiempo en el nose, y cualquier longboard en el que importe más una cola clavada que una suelta. Las tres alturas son la misma plantilla; más profundidad significa más agarre.

A low-rake, high-hold template in the classic Yater mold: the upright profile and generous area plant the tail and hold it down so the nose lifts, and the low rake makes the turn a tight pivot off the tail rather than a sweeping carve.
Our take
Put this on a classic log or noserider when planted hold and tight pivot turns matter more than drive down the line; walk to the nose and the tail stays planted, step back and it pivots around tight. If you want the same nose authority with more rake and drive off the bottom, the Wayne Rich Harmonic '67 is the more driving of the two.
