2.50" tief auf einer Basis von 2.62", aus massivem Fiberglas. Es ist eine Mittelfinne, klein genug, um das Gefühl eines Boards zu verändern, ohne den Widerstand einer ganzen Finne hinzuzufügen: Fahre sie als fünfte Finne hinter einem Quad, oder setz sie anstelle des Standard-Trailers in die hintere Box eines Thrusters. Der Foil-Querschnitt ist ultradünn, und daher kommt der geringe Widerstand.
Wie sich das anfühlt
Ein so kleiner Trailer hält das hintere Ende des Boards zusammen, ohne es zu lenken. In einer Five-Fin-Box beruhigt er einen Quad und gibt dem Tail einen Punkt zum Drehen; in der hinteren Box eines Thrusters nimmt er Fläche aus dem hinteren Ende des Boards, was das Tail löst und den Turn verkürzt. Weniger Fläche heißt auch weniger Widerstand, es wird also nichts an Speed dafür bezahlt. Es lohnt sich auch, ihn hinter einem Twin zu probieren, wo eine so kleine Mittelfinne Stabilität bringt, ohne das Board in einen Thruster zu verwandeln.
Für wen es passt
Quads mit fünfter Box, Twins mit Mittelbox und Thruster, die du aus dem Tail heraus freier haben willst. Wenn du von einem mittigen Trailer Halt statt Release willst, ist der 3.3" der größere.

A twin-plus-trailer feels much faster and looser than as a thruster, with the center fin held in reserve for waves over shoulder high and hollow.
It is a mistake to think a thruster rail fin position makes a valid twinny, or a valid twin fin location translates to a thruster feel.
Build a twin or build a thruster. I think you compromise too much otherwise.
Our take
Get this if you surf a Futures twin and want a quick swap for tail hold on bigger, faster days, or if you want to nudge a 2+1 toward thruster feel. Run it as a true twin you stiffen on demand, not a pretend thruster — and if you would rather add grip to a single fin, side bites are the better tool.

The True Ames 2.5" Trailer is a solid fiberglass center fin with a Futures base, sized at 2.5" to ride behind a twin or thruster cluster as the third or fifth fin. The template uses a low height, narrow base, and thin foil section, and sits below the height of standard 4.5"-class twin fins. It pairs with Futures twin setups such as the Beamish Twin or Alex Lopez Terrapin Twin, and the same template is also offered with an FCS base.
