Die CI Noserider ist eine moderne Pivot-Finne – breite Basis, schmale Spitze, volles Foil –, gebaut, um das Tail fürs Noseriding zu verankern, ohne dass sich das Board schwerfällig im Turn anfühlt.
Verkauft als einzelne Finne aus massivem Fiberglas für eine Standard-Longboard-Box, in 9.75" und 10.25", in Smoke, Weiß oder Ironwood Burgundy Drift Blue. Ein 50/50-Foil auf einer Basis von 7.81", mit aus der Spitze herausgenommener Fläche. Devon Howard, Troy Mothershead, Chuck Ames und Wayne Rich haben sie in langer Entwicklungsarbeit für das Channel Islands Noserider erarbeitet, das Wayne Rich shapt, gezeichnet um Nose, Tail, Rocker und Bottom-Konturen dieses Boards herum.
Wie sich das anfühlt
Eine breite Basis hält das Tail unten, und genau das bringt dich auf die Nose und hält dich dort. Traditionelle Pivot-Finnen erreichen das, indem sie überall Fläche auftürmen, und wirken dadurch klobig; hier ist die Spitze verschmälert und genug Rake stehen geblieben, dass das Board trotzdem herumkommt, also bleiben Übergänge von Rail zu Rail weich und Turns ziehen sich mit etwas Stil in die Länge. Sie hält von jeder Position auf dem Board aus – vorn im Trim oder hinten auf dem Tail.
Für wen es passt
Zuerst das Channel Islands Noserider, denn die Finne wurde um dieses Board herum gezeichnet, und traditionelle Noserider allgemein – Logs, bei denen Zeit auf der Nose der Punkt ist, das Board aber trotzdem drehen soll. Nimm die 10.25" für mehr Halt auf einem schwereren oder längeren Log, die 9.75", um es freier zu halten.

Our take
Run it on a traditional noserider when you want secure nose hold with a lighter, more sensitive feel than a heavy hatchet pivot — it plants the tail and lifts the nose but disappears underfoot. If you want a steadier, more planted single, look at the California Classic instead; for a turn-happier all-arounder, the Barrett Miller Ace.

The True Ames Channel Islands Noserider is a solid fiberglass single fin refined with Devon Howard, Wayne Rich, Troy Mothershead, and Chuck Ames. The template combines a narrow tip, wide base, and full foil with moderate rake. It comes in 9.75" and 10.25" sizes: the 9.75" suits boards under about 9'5" or lighter riders, the 10.25" longer logs or heavier riders. It was drawn primarily for the CI Noserider longboard shaped by Wayne Rich and works on other traditional noseriders.
