Die CI-Noserider-Finne, in ausgiebiger Entwicklungsarbeit von Devon Howard, Troy Mothershead, Chuck Ames und Wayne Rich entstanden, ist dafür gebaut, sicheres Noseriden zu ermöglichen und dabei Trim, Balance und Drehfreude zu erhalten. Anders als klassische Pivot-Finnen verankert sie das Tail für satten Halt auf der Nose, ohne schwer und behäbig zu wirken – das begünstigt weichere Rail-to-Rail-Übergänge und stilvolle, lang gezogene Turns. In erster Linie für das von Wayne Rich geshapte Channel Islands Noserider Longboard entworfen, mit seiner fein abgestimmten Nose, dem Tail, dem Rocker und den Bodenkonturen, ergänzt diese Finne auch andere klassische Noserider, die sicheren Halt auf der Nose wollen, ohne Wendigkeit zu opfern.

Run it on a traditional noserider when you want secure nose hold with a lighter, more sensitive feel than a heavy hatchet pivot — it plants the tail and lifts the nose but disappears underfoot. If you want a steadier, more planted single, look at the California Classic instead; for a turn-happier all-arounder, the Barrett Miller Ace.

The True Ames Channel Islands Noserider is a solid fiberglass single fin refined with Devon Howard, Wayne Rich, Troy Mothershead, and Chuck Ames. The template combines a narrow tip, wide base, and full foil with moderate rake. It comes in 9.75" and 10.25" sizes: the 9.75" suits boards under about 9'5" or lighter riders, the 10.25" longer logs or heavier riders. It was drawn primarily for the CI Noserider longboard shaped by Wayne Rich and works on other traditional noseriders.
