Die CI Spicy ist eine Single Fin im aufrechten Stil, entworfen in Zusammenarbeit mit den netten Leuten von Channel Islands. True Ames hat den schlanken Umriss und das zurückhaltende Rake-Profil genommen, das an die klassischen Single Fins der 60er und 70er erinnert, und es mit einem aktualisierten Foil- und Flex-Profil optimal auf heutige Performance abgestimmt.
Als Ergebnis einer gemeinsamen Arbeit mit Devon Howard und Britt Merrick entstand diese Finne mit Blick auf die Tri Plane Hull Mid-Length von CI – ein Board, das einen von Greenough inspirierten Planing Hull mit Al Merricks Egg-Umriss und den modernen Rail- und Rocker-Profilen von CI verbindet. Die Finne ist aber keineswegs auf dieses Boarddesign beschränkt; sie funktioniert auf vielen Boards im mittleren Größenbereich hervorragend.

Our take
Buy this for hull-influenced mid-lengths, modern eggs, and anything in the 7'0"–8'6" range that wants to flow. It was built for the CI Tri-Plane Hull and that's still the best pairing — purpose-built for a specific board type, versatile enough to work on others, but most honest when the board underneath it is doing what the Tri-Plane Hull does.

An upright, slender-outlined single fin in the 8"–9" range, developed by Britt Merrick and Devon Howard of Channel Islands for the CI Tri-Plane Hull mid-length and built by True Ames at their Goleta shop. The template combines a trimmed base and conservative rake with flex concentrated in the tip; a volan construction is also offered, which shifts flex from the tip into the body. It fits single-fin mid-lengths, eggs, and other boards in the 7'0"–8'6" range with planing bottoms and moderate rocker.
