Ein Paar Performance-Twins mit ausgewogenem Verhältnis von Basis zu Höhe und flachen Innenfoils. Der Name ist die Proportion: Basis und Tiefe liegen nah beieinander, statt der langen Basis und geringen Tiefe eines Keels.
Wie sich das anfühlt
Gleichmäßige Proportionen stellen die Finne zwischen die beiden Twin-Extreme. Es ist genug Basis da, um die Linie hinunter Drive zu machen, und genug Tiefe, um zu halten, wenn die Wand steiler wird – das Set spurt also weder wie ein Keel, noch bricht es aus wie ein kleiner aufrechter Twin. Flache Innenfoils halten es konventionell und berechenbar: Auftrieb dort, wo du ihn erwartest, und keine Überraschungen, wenn du dich auf ein Rail legst.
Für wen es passt
Performance-Twin-Boards mit Futures-Boxen und Surfer, die ein Set wollen, das über ein Spektrum von Wellen funktioniert, statt ein Spezialist für Trim oder für Pivot zu sein. Ein vernünftiger erster Twin und ebenso eine gute Standardwahl für jemanden, der schon Keels besitzt.

The near-equal base and height ratio shortens the long, drawn-out feel of a true keel and puts the drive into a more compact footprint, and the flat inside foil keeps the set fast without making it twitchy.
Our take
Run the 5x5 on a fish or twin you want to surf aggressively, especially shorter swallow-tail shapes where a full keel feels glued down. If your board is a longer, flatter fish and you want classic drawn-out keel trim, the Gephart 70/30 Keels are the better call.
