Ein schlankes Profil mit dünnem Foil und konstruiertem Flex, in Clear, Smoke, Blau, Rot und Seafoam Grey. Liddle hat sie als Partnerin zu den modifizierten Displacement Hulls entworfen, die er begründet hat – Boards mit konvexem Bottom, aus der Bootshydrodynamik entlehnt, die weit vorn trimmen und in Wellen mit weniger Kraft ins Gleiten kommen und die eine Finne mit echtem, kontrolliertem Flex brauchen, um überhaupt zu funktionieren. Mehr als 40 Jahre später ist sie noch immer eines der Templates, für die True Ames bekannt ist, und sie hat sich weit über Hulls hinaus verbreitet.
Wie sich das anfühlt
Ein dünnes, flexibles Foil lädt sich auf, sobald die Rail greift, und gibt die Energie die Linie hinunter zurück – daher kommt die Projektion: Das Board beschleunigt aus dem Turn heraus, statt nur die Richtung zu wechseln. Auf einem feinfühligen Board fühlt sie sich lebendig unter dem Fuß an, positiv durch den Turn statt tot und festgenagelt. Die Wide-Varianten tragen eine etwas längere Basis, was ein wenig von dieser Lebendigkeit gegen Stabilität eintauscht.
Für wen es passt
Zuerst Hulls, danach jedes Board, das auf Beschleunigung, volle Rail-Carves und weiche Übergänge ausgelegt ist – Mid-Lengths und Eggs, die getrimmt statt gepumpt werden wollen. Nicht die Finne für jemanden, der das Tail festgezurrt und das Board steif darunter haben will; diese hier soll sich bewegen.

Our take
On a Liddle-style hull it is the intended match, delivering the acceleration, full-rail carves, and smooth transitions the hull is shaped around; on a speed-oriented mid-length it makes the board feel alive. It rewards forward trim and rail engagement — if your board is not a hull or speed shape, the Greenough 4A is more forgiving across the board.
