Das Ryan Burch Asym Set sollte man mit Fug und Recht als das Standard-Asym-Set dieses Planeten bezeichnen. Niemand hat am Asym-Konzept mehr herumprobiert, getestet und feinjustiert als Ryan Burch. Die Finne auf der Zehenseite stammt vom Burch Twin. Die Finnen auf der Fersenseite sind Ryans eigenwilliges Paddle-Konzept – inspiriert von George Greenoughs Paddle-Finnen und weiter geprägt von Daniel „Tomo“ Thompsons Finnen-Experimenten. Die Fersenseiten-Finnen haben einen gedrungenen Umriss, aber die ausgeschnittene Hinterkante öffnet die Finne im Übergang und auf dem Rail. Die Abstimmung dieser drei Finnen aufeinander ist unerreicht. Ein Frontside-Bottom-Turn fühlt sich drive-stark, schnell und kraftvoll an – und die Fersenseite rückmeldungsfreudig, butterweich, geschmeidig und lose. Das Programm hier heißt: jedes Rail im Eingriff und jeden Übergang stimmig ausbalanciert halten.

The frontside will feel drivey, quick, and full of power, while the heel side will feel responsive, buttery, smooth, and loose.
This is the set for a regular-footer on a dedicated asymmetrical board who wants the frontside powerful and the backside free — it shines on punchy beachbreak and steeper walls where forehand and backhand demand different things. Goofy-footers need the Goofy version, and on a standard symmetrical twin or fish you should run the Burch Twin instead.

The Ryan Burch Asymmetrical Regular is a 1+2 asymmetrical fin set for regular-foot asymmetrical boards, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with Futures-compatible bases. The toe-side fin is taken from the Burch Twin template, while the heel-side fins use Burch's paddle concept, inspired by Greenough's paddle fins and Tomo's fin experimentation, with a stubby outline and cutaway trailing edge. A mirrored Goofy version exists for goofy-foot riders.
