Es ist dieselbe Idee wie bei der Standard-Small-Box-Finne, nur mit einem Überhang, der die Finne weiter nach hinten trägt, als die Box allein es zulässt: 1.25" bei der 5" und der 5.5", 1.125" bei der 4.5". Ein Zweck-Template, gezeichnet, um ein ungewöhnliches Setup zu vervollständigen, und nicht, um die Finne zu sein, um die herum ein Board entworfen wird.
Wie sich das anfühlt
Weiter hinten in der Box zu sitzen verschiebt den Drehpunkt der Finne mit nach hinten, was das Tail beruhigt und über den hinteren Fuß Halt hinzufügt, ohne viel Fläche mitzuschleppen. Hinter einem Twin oder einem Quad arbeitet sie als Trailer; allein in einem kleinen Board ist sie ein Stabilisator. Die drei Größen sind die Einstellschraube – die 4.5" verändert am wenigsten, die 5.5" gibt am meisten Halt und Drive.

The overhang sets the blade further back in the box and puts more fin in the water than the flush version, adding bite for a small-box board that needs more hold in steeper or more powerful surf — the overhang is there for area, not flex.
Our take
Choose the overhang version when your small-box mid-length or fish feels loose or washes out and you want more bite without going taller — it shifts the feel toward drive and authority at the cost of some looseness. If your board already holds fine and you want a quicker, freer feel, the standard Small Box Fin is the better pick.

True Ames lists the overhang at 1.125" on the 4.5" and 1.25" on the 5" and 5.5", setting the blade further back in the box than the flush version; the "1.5" in the product name is not the per-size figure.
