Unsere Kollektion wäre nicht vollständig ohne eine traditionelle Old-School-D-Finne. In den 60ern war sie als laminierte Finne beliebt; heute bieten wir die D-2 als Boxfinne an, für alle, die sie ausprobieren und eine Reise in die Vergangenheit machen wollen. Die volle Fläche der D-2 erlaubt feine Richtungskorrekturen, aber die Hauptsache ist das mühelose Noseriden. Wenn du die Linie entlangcruisen und ernsthaft Zeit auf der Spitze sammeln willst, mit einer Verbeugung vor den klassischen Tagen des Longboardens, dann ist das deine Finne. Traditionelle Finne mit voller Fläche, gedacht für große, schwere Logs und Pig-Shapes. Sie hat eine 9.75"-Basis und passt in eine Standard-10"-Finnenbox, weil wir hinten einen Überstand eingeplant haben. Vielleicht musst du dafür die Leash-Befestigung aus der Box nehmen – aber wir wissen ja, dass die meisten D-Finnen-Fahrer solchen neumodischen Kram ohnehin nicht benutzen. That full area is what holds the tail down and keeps the board tracking straight enough to walk forward without the nose washing out — built for big, heavy logs and Pig shapes, where mass and a planted tail are the whole game.
Buy the D-2 for a heavy traditional log or Pig where noseriding and classic glide are the point: it plants the tail for serious tip time and does not want to turn off the tail. If you want to actively turn the board, the Beamish Storm Rider is the looser single, and a larger Greenough 4A is the noserider with a bit more turn available.

The D-2 is a traditional D-fin made by True Ames in solid fiberglass, 9.0" tall with a 9.75" base that fits a standard 10" fin box via a rear overhang. The template reproduces the full-area, rounded-D glass-on fins of 1960s longboards in box-fin form. It is intended for heavy traditional logs and Pig-style longboards.
