Ryan Lovelace’ asymmetrisches Set für Boards mit Regular-Fuß – ein kleiner Keel auf der Zehenseite, eine Quad-Anordnung auf der Fersenseite – von True Ames für FCS-Boxen gefertigt.
Drei Finnen aus Solid Fiberglass, FCS kompatibel, in Smoke, Clear oder Kelp. Das Set passt zu asymmetrischen Boards, die für Surfer mit REGULAR-Fuß gebaut sind, was heißt, dass jedes Rail andere Finnen bekommt: einen kleinen Keel auf der Zehenseite und ein Quad-Setup aus zwei Finnen auf der Fersenseite. Lovelace hat es als zugängliches, rundum ausgewogenes Asym-Set gezeichnet und nicht als spezialisiertes, es verlangt seinem Fahrer also nichts Ungewöhnliches ab.
Was das bedeutet
Unter dem Keel auf der Zehenseite steckt Base, dieses Rail gibt also Drive und Projektion; weil der Keel klein ist, pivotiert es aus dem Bottom Turn trotzdem noch senkrecht, statt in einem langen Bogen festzuhängen. Die Fersenseite, auf zwei Finnen aufgeteilt, verhält sich wie ein Quad – sie löst und greift wieder, und genau das brauchen ein sauberer Cutback und ein schneller Richtungswechsel gleichermaßen. Ein Rail auf Drive eingerichtet, das andere darauf, zurückzudrehen.
Für wen es passt
Surfer mit Regular-Fuß auf asymmetrischen Boards mit FCS-Plugs – den Boards, um die herum dieses Set gezeichnet wurde. Goofy-Footer brauchen das gespiegelte Set, nicht dieses. Und Fahrer, die neugierig auf Asym sind und ein Set wollen, das sofort funktioniert, statt eines, das eine bestimmte Technik verlangt, um überhaupt etwas herauszuholen.

Your backhand and your forehand load a board differently, so the two rails get different fins: the toe-side keel gives drive and projection while still letting you pivot vertically off the bottom, and the heel-side quad arrangement is tuned for seamless redirections and clean carves on your backhand.
Our take
Buy this only if you are on a regular-foot asymmetrical board built for it — there it makes the board feel balanced under both feet rather than strong one way and vague the other. Know that the solid keel template runs stiff, leaning toward drive and projection over snappy vertical pivot, and on a standard symmetrical twin or fish it is simply the wrong fin.
