Die Pavel Broad Range ist die Idee des renommierten San Diegoer Shapers Rich Pavel. Die Broad Range nutzt eine breite Basis, die nahtlos in eine schmale Spitze übergeht, und hat beträchtlich viel Rake. Ihre breite Basis gibt viel Halt, während die schmale Spitze und der betonte Rake für Nachsicht und Vielseitigkeit sorgen. An einem Singlefin-Board mittlerer Größe erlaubt diese Finne lange, weit ausschwingende Turns und müheloses Trimmen. Die 7.175"-Basis der Broad Range gibt reichlich Drive durch die Turns, während die schmale Spitze leichte Richtungswechsel ermöglicht. The wide base gives the board grip and push through a turn, while the narrow, raked tip bleeds off enough area that the tail still releases and redirects easily. Enough drive for soft waves, enough give for tight sections.
Buy it for a single-fin mid-length or fuller egg when you want easy trim and forgiving, sweeping turns over outright drive: the 8.75 for bigger or fuller boards, the 7.87 for smaller ones. If you want more spring and life off the bottom, the Greenough 4A is the alternative.
