Ein Twinzer fährt vier Finnen, aber nicht als Quad: Jede Hauptfinne bekommt ein kleines Canard, das knapp davor und weiter außen sitzt. Das Canard wirft einen Wirbel über die Hauptfinne, wodurch diese in einem steileren Winkel hält, als sie es sonst könnte. Das Ergebnis: Speed und Losheit einer Twinfinne mit mehr Halt, als einem Twin eigentlich zusteht.

The design allows tight pivoting turns, blinding speed, and a high degree of sensitivity -- tested in everything from 5'5" micro-wing fishes to 9'+ whale fish.
The proven all-range twinzer from the designer who never abandoned the concept: a twin's loose, lively feel with the extra bite and control most riders wish a twin had. It only makes sense on a board with twinzer placement -- standard twin boxes call for a plain twin instead.
The Pavel Twinzer is Rich Pavel's four-fin twinzer set, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass and offered in FCS and Futures versions. It pairs a high-aspect rear twin with a small, upright front canard, both running flat inside foils, with the canard positioned to feed clean flow into the rear fin. True Ames reports the design has been tested on boards from 5'5" micro-wing fishes to 9'-plus whale fish, and it requires a board with twinzer box placement.
