Ryan Burchs Rakey Twin: ein langgezogenes, nach hinten gerakt gezeichnetes Template, laminiert in weiß getöntem Volan, damit die Finne flext.
Zwei Dinge machen hier die Arbeit, und Burch hat sich für beide entschieden. Das Template ist lang und nach hinten gezogen gezeichnet statt aufrecht, und das Panel ist weiß getöntes Volan-Fiberglas, das spürbar mehr flext als das massive Glas, das True Ames für die meisten Twins verwendet. Flaches Innenfoil, Futures-Basen, verkauft als Paar.
Wie sich das anfühlt
Rake ist das, was einen Turn in die Länge zieht und das Board die Linie hinunter schiebt, ein gerakt gezeichnetes Template allein würde also Release gegen Projektion eintauschen. Das Volan kauft das Release zurück: Eine Finne, die sich unter Last biegt und wieder herausfedert, hält das Tail oben am Lip lebendig, statt es festzusetzen. Diese Kombination – Projektion die Linie hinunter, ohne die Fähigkeit zu verlieren, oben abzugehen – ist der ganze Sinn der Finne.
Für wen es passt
Twins in Shortboard-Größe, die mit Speed im Sinn gesurft werden, und Surfer, denen steife Twins aus massivem Glas oben am Lip zu starr waren. Wenn du willst, dass sich das Tail unter Belastung fest und berechenbar anfühlt, bleibst du besser bei massivem Fiberglas.

Our take
On a twin fish or Burch-style experimental board this generates a ton of down-the-line speed and then springs through turns, the pick if you want the board to feel alive and fast rather than planted. If you want a stiffer, more direct twin go Mandala Delta-V; for keel glide instead of raked twin spring, the Lovelace Piggyback Keel is the move.

The Rakey Twin is an elongated, heavily raked twin template designed by Ryan Burch and made by True Ames in white-tinted Volan cloth with a flat foil and a wide base. The Volan weave flexes through the body and trunk of the fin rather than just the tip, making it the most flexible twin in the True Ames line. It has Futures-compatible bases and is sold as a twin set for twin fish and Burch-style asymmetric or experimental boards.
