Troy ist in Orange County aufgewachsen und lebt dort; er ist ein großartiger Nachwuchs-Shaper – spezialisiert unter anderem auf Logs und andere Retro-Designs – und surft auf einem Niveau, an das nur wenige herankommen. Bei dieser Pivot-Finne von ihm geht es zwar um Stabilität, doch sie hat etwas weniger Fläche als eine traditionelle Finne im Pivot-Stil. Zusammen mit genügend Rake und ihrem Foil erlaubt die Troy Elmore Pivot ausschwingende Turns und abrupte Cutbacks, wenn du hinten auf dem Tail stehst.
Was du in dieser Finne findest, ist die Fähigkeit, auf der Nose durch Sections zu ziehen und trotzdem einen Turn hinzulegen. Kombiniere sie mit deinem Lieblings-Log in Wellen von knie- bis brusthoch und genieße den Ritt.

Our take
Put it on a traditional or all-around log you ride in knee-to-chest surf when you want to walk to the nose and still throw a turn on the way back. For maximum planted hold step up to the Velzy Noserider; for a volan body with more flex and projection, the Tappy 1.

The Troy Elmore Pivot is a longboard single fin designed by Troy Elmore with noseriding as the primary objective, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass in a 10.0 inch size. The template has a wide base and a generous tip, with somewhat less area than a traditional pivot fin, added rake, and a precision foil. It is intended for traditional and all-around logs in knee-to-chest-high surf.
