La pinna
Un trailer centrale da 2.5" — 4.88 pollici quadrati di pinna — per il quinto box di un quad o per il box posteriore di un thruster.
2.50" di altezza su una base da 2.62", in fibra di vetro piena. È una pinna centrale abbastanza piccola da cambiare la sensazione della tavola senza aggiungere la resistenza di una pinna intera: usala come quinta pinna dietro un quad, oppure infilala nel box posteriore di un thruster al posto del trailer standard. La sezione del foil è ultra sottile, ed è da lì che arriva la bassa resistenza.
Come si sente
Un trailer così piccolo tiene insieme il retro della tavola senza sterzarlo. In un box da five-fin calma un quad e dà alla coda un punto su cui pivotare; nel box posteriore di un thruster toglie superficie al retro della tavola, il che scioglie la coda e accorcia la curva. Meno superficie vuol dire anche meno resistenza, quindi non si paga niente in velocità. Vale anche la pena provarla dietro una twin, dove una pinna centrale così piccola aggiunge stabilità senza trasformare la tavola in un thruster.
A chi è adatta
Quad con un quinto box, twin con box centrale, e thruster che vuoi più liberi di coda. Se quello che cerchi da un trailer centrale è tenuta invece che rilascio, la 3.3" è quella più grande.

A twin-plus-trailer feels much faster and looser than as a thruster, with the center fin held in reserve for waves over shoulder high and hollow.
It is a mistake to think a thruster rail fin position makes a valid twinny, or a valid twin fin location translates to a thruster feel.
Build a twin or build a thruster. I think you compromise too much otherwise.
Our take
Get this if you surf a Futures twin and want a quick swap for tail hold on bigger, faster days, or if you want to nudge a 2+1 toward thruster feel. Run it as a true twin you stiffen on demand, not a pretend thruster — and if you would rather add grip to a single fin, side bites are the better tool.

The True Ames 2.5" Trailer is a solid fiberglass center fin with a Futures base, sized at 2.5" to ride behind a twin or thruster cluster as the third or fifth fin. The template uses a low height, narrow base, and thin foil section, and sits below the height of standard 4.5"-class twin fins.
