La side bite dei Brothers Marshall: piccola e con proporzioni quasi pari, 2.64" di altezza su una base da 2.54".
Le side bite trasformano una tavola a pinna singola in una 2+1: la pinna centrale continua a dirigere, e le due pinne piccole aggiungono tenuta in curva e drive dal bottom. Questo set sta sul piccolo ed è quasi quadrato nelle proporzioni — altezza e base a un decimo di pollice l'una dall'altra, 5.14 sq in per lato — e si comporta in modo diverso dalle side bite a base lunga tagliate per il drive. Fibra di vetro piena in smoke, venduta in coppia.
Come si sente
Con così poca area ai due lati, la pinna centrale mantiene il carattere della tavola e le side bite fanno da assicurazione: qualcosa su cui appoggiarsi quando la parete si fa ripida e la single fin inizia a mollare. Un outline così pari tende a tenere più che a dare drive: non allunga tanto la curva, quanto impedisce al tail di scappare fuori.
A chi è adatta
Una mid-length o un longboard che già funzionano come single fin e hanno bisogno solo di essere tenuti insieme quando l'onda spinge un po'. Se vuoi che le laterali facciano un lavoro vero — proiettare la tavola fuori dal bottom turn — un set più alto e con base più lunga è la risposta migliore.

Our take
Run these on a Brothers Marshall 2+1, or any mid-length or log where you want subtle rail grip without losing single-fin glide, with the center fin dropped a size. If you want a big jump in hold and drive, this isn't it -- size up the side bites instead.
