La pinna
La CI Noserider è una pinna pivot moderna — base larga, punta stretta, foil pieno — costruita per ancorare la coda in noseride senza rendere la tavola pesante da girare.
Venduta come pinna singola in fibra di vetro piena per un box longboard standard, nelle misure 9.75" e 10.25", in smoke, bianco o ironwood burgundy drift blue. Foil 50/50 su una base da 7.81", con superficie tolta dalla punta. Devon Howard, Troy Mothershead, Chuck Ames e Wayne Rich l'hanno messa a punto con una lunga fase di R&D per la Channel Islands Noserider che shapa Wayne Rich, disegnandola attorno a nose, tail, rocker e contorni del bottom di quella tavola.
Come si sente
Una base larga tiene giù la coda, ed è questo che ti porta sul nose e ti ci tiene. Le pinne pivot tradizionali lo fanno accumulando superficie ovunque e per questo risultano goffe; qui la punta è stretta e resta abbastanza rake perché la tavola giri comunque, così i passaggi da rail a rail restano fluidi e le curve si allungano con un certo stile. Tiene da qualsiasi posizione sulla tavola — avanti in scorrimento o indietro sul tail.
A chi è adatta
Prima di tutto alla Channel Islands Noserider, visto che la pinna è stata disegnata attorno a quella tavola, e ai noserider tradizionali in generale — log dove il tempo sul nose è il punto, ma dalla tavola ci si aspetta comunque che giri. Prendi la 10.25" per più tenuta su un log più pesante o più lungo, la 9.75" per tenerla più libera.

Our take
Run it on a traditional noserider when you want secure nose hold with a lighter, more sensitive feel than a heavy hatchet pivot — it plants the tail and lifts the nose but disappears underfoot. If you want a steadier, more planted single, look at the California Classic instead; for a turn-happier all-arounder, the Barrett Miller Ace.
ALTRO SU QUESTA PINNA
The True Ames Channel Islands Noserider is a solid fiberglass single fin refined with Devon Howard, Wayne Rich, Troy Mothershead, and Chuck Ames. The template combines a narrow tip, wide base, and full foil with moderate rake. It comes in 9.75" and 10.25" sizes: the 9.75" suits boards under about 9'5" or lighter riders, the 10.25" longer logs or heavier riders. It was drawn primarily for the CI Noserider longboard shaped by Wayne Rich and works on other traditional noseriders.
