Una coppia di twin da performance con un rapporto equilibrato tra base e altezza e foil interni piatti. Il nome è la proporzione: base e altezza sono quasi pari, invece della forma a base lunga e altezza ridotta di una keel.
Come si sente
Le proporzioni pari mettono la pinna a metà tra i due estremi della twin. C'è abbastanza base per spingere down the line e abbastanza altezza per tenere quando la parete si fa ripida, così il set non va dritto come una keel né perde aderenza come una piccola twin verticale. I foil interni piatti la tengono convenzionale e prevedibile — portanza dove te l'aspetti, e nessuna sorpresa quando ti appoggi sul rail.
A chi è adatta

The near-equal base and height ratio shortens the long, drawn-out feel of a true keel and puts the drive into a more compact footprint, and the flat inside foil keeps the set fast without making it twitchy.
Our take
Run the 5x5 on a fish or twin you want to surf aggressively, especially shorter swallow-tail shapes where a full keel feels glued down. If your board is a longer, flatter fish and you want classic drawn-out keel trim, the Gephart 70/30 Keels are the better call.
