Il set Lovelace FM Twinzer è stato disegnato apposta per essere abbinato al modello di tavola FM di Ryan. I nub anteriori hanno un foil singolo con interno piatto, mentre il twin posteriore ha un doppio foil 50/50. Questo set particolare offre molta velocità, molto drive e la possibilità di fare carve pieni di rail e curve ad arco fluide, se abbinato alla tavola giusta. Ecco qualche altra nota di progetto da parte di Ryan... "Queste pinne sono state disegnate apposta per il posizionamento piuttosto anomalo del mio design di tavola FM: oltre 2" dal rail sulle mid length e quasi parallele, con o senza la pinna anteriore a seconda delle preferenze di chi surfa. Il template complessivo plil fatto che sono a doppio foil le indirizza in modo abbastanza netto verso i design twin da midlength, per disegnare carve collegati e ad arco. Su questo template c'è parecchia più superficie che sui twin medi. Quindi, se le usi su una tavola diversa dal modello 'FM' per cui sono state pensate, suggerirei di usarle su twin da midlength, oppure da parte di surfisti più grossi su twin intorno ai 6', oppure da chi ama davvero caricare il rail e caricare il drive. In alternativa, la Piggyback keel è un template molto simile e, in una misura più piccola, è più adatta a twin di dimensioni 'normali'."

It holds through carves like a quad but keeps the freedom and squirt of a twin -- somewhere between the two, with more bite than a plain twin and less track than a locked-in quad.
This is the matched set for an FM or a similar off-the-rail, near-parallel mid-length twin, where it draws long, connected, arcing carves with real hold. It pays back juicier waves more than small mush, and if your boxes are in a conventional twin position, a standard twin set will sit better.

The Lovelace FM Twinzer is a four-fin set Ryan Lovelace designed for his FM mid-length: a pair of double-foiled rear twins plus a pair of small single-foiled front canards with flat inside faces, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with Futures-compatible trailers and FCS-compatible leaders. The template was drawn for the FM's box placement, more than two inches off the rail on mid-lengths and close to parallel, with the canards seated forward and outboard of the twins.
