Un single fin flex ad alta superficie con rake extra, disegnato da Ryan Lovelace come la sua pinna per mid-length, in fibra di vetro piena.
Ryan Lovelace ha disegnato la v.Bowls come compagna delle sue mid-length: base larga, rake abbondante e punta piena, più rigida della media delle pinne flex. Arriva in due misure, 7.75" e 8.5", in fibra di vetro piena, nei colori kelp, smoke e trasparente. La rigidità è il punto. È quello che trasforma un piede posteriore pesante in drive invece che in una pinna che si piega sotto carico, ed è quello che rende il rilascio in uscita dal bottom turn uno scatto e non una sbavatura.
Come si sente
Superficie ampia e rake abbondante danno un arco di curva lungo: la pinna tiene attraverso un carve allungato e continua a spingere down the line invece di pivotare sotto il piede anteriore. La punta piena è ciò che le impedisce di lasciare andare troppo presto, così la tenuta resta stabile alla velocità e in onde con un po' di potenza dietro. Caricala forte in uscita da un bottom turn e il flex teso restituisce l'energia invece di disperderla.
A chi è adatta
Mid-length e speed shape con box da longboard, surfate da chi spinge sul piede posteriore in onde con vera potenza. A chi vuole scorrimento, piccoli aggiustamenti in pocket e curve lunghe e allungate da una sola pinna. Lo stesso template è venduto anche in Volan.

Pick the v.Bowls for a mid-length you intend to surf hard, with drive and long arcs the goal; it comes alive when you stomp it and rewards a heavy back foot, but keep your weight forward enough to keep it from bogging. If you want a lighter, more forgiving version go ThickLizzy; for looser pivot off the tail, the McCallum Single.
