La pinna
Un single fin flex da 8.75" con rake molto marcato, firmato Jeff McCallum — il template che mette nella maggior parte dei suoi single fin.
Alta 8.75" su una base da 5.374", foil 50/50, fibra di vetro piena, in charcoal. L'outline è molto arretrato con una punta stretta e flessibile, ed è quello che McCallum voleva sotto le tavole che shapa: una pinna che cede dove l'onda la carica e poi ritorna. Carve fluidi e bottom turn a fionda è il modo in cui descrive quello che fa, ed è il suo template di riferimento più che un pezzo speciale.
Come si sente
Un rake così arretrato sposta il carico della pinna dietro il piede posteriore, così le curve vengono lunghe invece che strette e la tavola mantiene la velocità mentre le percorre. La punta stretta è la parte sensibile: si torce e ritorna di scatto, ed è da lì che arriva lo schiocco in uscita dal bottom turn ed è il motivo per cui la pinna resta reattiva in pocket. Il foil 50/50 la mantiene uniforme su entrambi i rail.
A chi è adatta
Longboard e tavole single fin surfate per il flusso più che per il pivot — carve profondi, linee allungate, velocità portata dentro la curva. Chi passa il tempo sul tail ne ricaverà più di chi vive sul nose, perché è una pinna flex e non un template pivot.

An exaggerated amount of rake and a notably narrow, flexible tip — the combination that makes it carve flowy and slingshot out of bottom turns.
Our take
Run it on a log or mid-length when you want flowing, drawn-out carves with springy release off the tail — it rewards a smooth approach and is happiest on a board that already makes its own speed. If you want more straight-line drive and a heavier-footed feel, go to the v.Bowls; for the classic blended Greenough feel, the 4A.
