La pinna
Il set asimmetrico a tre pinne di Ryan Burch tagliato per una stance regular: una twin sul lato toe-side, due pinne in stile paddle sul lato heel-side.
Tre pinne in fibra di vetro piena con finitura grezza, su base Futures, in smoke. La pinna lato toe-side è la Burch Twin, 4.97" su una base da 5.32". Il lato heel-side prende due pinne più piccole, 4.19" e 3.54", derivate dal concetto paddle di Burch — nato a sua volta dalle paddle fin di George Greenough e dalla sperimentazione sulle pinne di Daniel "Tomo" Thompson. Tutte e tre sono piatte sulla faccia interna, e il set è disposto per chi surfa in regular, con le paddle fin sul rail heel-side.
Come si sente
Ogni rail riceve la pinna che gli serve invece di una speculare. In uscita dal bottom frontside la singola twin lato toe-side dà drive, è rapida e piena di potenza; sul lato heel-side le due paddle fin tozze, con i loro bordi d'uscita intagliati, si aprono in transizione e sul rail, così quella curva esce reattiva, morbida e sciolta. L'obiettivo è tenere entrambi i rail ingaggiati e ogni transizione in equilibrio con l'altra.
A chi è adatto
Chi surfa in regular su tavole asimmetriche con layout Futures a tre box tagliato per quella stance. Chi sa già perché vuole un'asimmetrica, dato che il set ha senso solo sotto una tavola disegnata in modo asimmetrico. Chi surfa in goofy vuole la versione Goofy dello stesso set.

This should arguably be the go-to asym set on the planet, as no one has messed with, tested, and dialed in the asym concept more than Ryan Burch.

The frontside will feel drivey, quick, and full of power, while the heel side will feel responsive, buttery, smooth, and loose.
Our take
This is the set for a regular-footer on a dedicated asymmetrical board who wants the frontside powerful and the backside free — it shines on punchy beachbreak and steeper walls where forehand and backhand demand different things. Goofy-footers need the Goofy version, and on a standard symmetrical twin or fish you should run the Burch Twin instead.

The Ryan Burch Asymmetrical Regular is a 1+2 asymmetrical fin set for regular-foot asymmetrical boards, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with Futures-compatible bases. The toe-side fin is taken from the Burch Twin template, while the heel-side fins use Burch's paddle concept, inspired by Greenough's paddle fins and Tomo's fin experimentation, with a stubby outline and cutaway trailing edge. A mirrored Goofy version exists for goofy-foot riders.
