La TA tri è un altro template della collezione interna ed è la versione del collaudato design thruster reso popolare per la prima volta nei primi anni 80 e da allora in continua evoluzione.

Run this set on a shortboard or hybrid when you want drive off the bottom and a release off the top that lets go in a measured way rather than all at once. If you want a smoother, trim-and-glide thruster feel, go with the Skip Frye Tri; for more hold and bite in steep, powerful surf, look at a Timmy Patterson thruster.

The True Ames Thruster is a three-fin set made in solid fiberglass with Futures bases, sold as a set in Small, Medium, and Large sizes chosen by rider weight. The template uses flat inside foils and medium rake. It is intended for shortboards and performance hybrids.
