La side bite tuttofare di True Ames da 4.35": la misura in cui le laterali smettono di essere un'aggiunta sottile e iniziano a dare forma alla curva.
Le side bite trasformano una tavola a pinna singola in una 2+1: la pinna centrale continua a dirigere, e le due pinne piccole aggiungono tenuta in curva e drive dal bottom. True Ames ha tagliato questo template a tutto uso in sei misure, e la 4.35" sta all'estremo alto: pensata per tirare fuori il massimo da un 2+1 invece che il minimo — stabilità, proiezione e tenuta aggiunte a qualunque pinna centrale la tavola già monti. Hexcore, la più leggera delle due costruzioni in cui True Ames ha tagliato questo template, venduta in coppia.
Come si sente
Più altezza significa più tenuta sul rail, così un set di questa misura aggancia la tavola in una curva decisa e la spinge fuori dal bottom, invece di limitarsi a stabilizzarla. Quello a cui rinunci è quella sensazione sciolta e da pivot che fa di una single fin una single fin: con pinne da 4.35" ai due lati la tavola si comporta più come un thruster.
A chi è adatta
Longboard e mid-length con un box centrale e due plug, surfati dal rail e in onde con un po' di taglia. Se quello che vuoi è soprattutto una tavola che si senta come una single fin con una rete di sicurezza, una delle misure più piccole della stessa gamma è l'acquisto migliore.

Put these on a 2+1 performance log you surf hard in steep, powerful surf — they turn the board thruster-adjacent, with rail grip that holds through hard, committed turns. For most mid-length 2+1 setups this is more side bite than you need, and if the board tracks or feels stiff through transitions, step down a size.
