La pinna
Nessuna collezione è completa senza una D-fin tradizionale, vecchia scuola. In origine diffusa come glass-on negli anni '60, oggi ti proponiamo la D-2 come pinna da box, per chi ha voglia di provarla e di fare un viaggio nel passato.
La superficie piena della D-2 permette aggiustamenti di direzione sottili, ma l'attrazione principale è la facilità nel noseriding. Se vuoi filare down the line e accumulare tempo in punta rendendo omaggio ai giorni classici del longboard, allora questa è la pinna che fa per te.

Ha una base da 9.75” ed entra in un box pinna standard da 10” perché True Ames ha previsto una sporgenza nella parte posteriore della pinna. Potresti dover togliere il leg rope dal box, ma la maggior parte di chi usa una D-fin non usa comunque questi aggeggi moderni

That full area is what holds the tail down and keeps the board tracking straight enough to walk forward without the nose washing out — built for big, heavy logs and Pig shapes, where mass and a planted tail are the whole game.
Our take
Buy the D-2 for a heavy traditional log or Pig where noseriding and classic glide are the point: it plants the tail for serious tip time and does not want to turn off the tail. If you want to actively turn the board, the Beamish Storm Rider is the looser single, and a larger Greenough 4A is the noserider with a bit more turn available.
ALTRO SU QUESTA PINNA
The D-2 is a traditional D-fin made by True Ames in solid fiberglass, 9.0" tall with a 9.75" base that fits a standard 10" fin box via a rear overhang. The template reproduces the full-area, rounded-D glass-on fins of 1960s longboards in box-fin form. It is intended for heavy traditional logs and Pig-style longboards.
