La pinna
Il set asimmetrico di Ryan Lovelace per tavole regular foot — una piccola keel sul lato toe-side, un assetto quad sul lato heel-side — prodotto da True Ames per i box FCS.
Tre pinne in fibra di vetro piena, compatibili FCS, in smoke, trasparente o kelp. Il set si abbina alle tavole asimmetriche costruite per chi surfa in REGULAR, il che vuol dire che ogni rail riceve pinne diverse: una piccola keel sul lato toe-side e un assetto quad a due pinne sul lato heel-side. Lovelace l'ha disegnato come un set asimmetrico accessibile e completo più che specialistico, quindi non chiede niente di insolito a chi lo surfa.
Come si sente
La keel lato toe-side ha base sotto di sé, così quel rail dà drive e proietta; siccome la keel è piccola, riesce ancora a perniare in verticale in uscita dal bottom invece di bloccarsi in un unico arco lungo. Il lato heel-side, diviso in due pinne, si comporta come un quad — rilascia e si riaggancia, che è quello di cui hanno bisogno sia un cutback pulito sia un cambio di direzione rapido. Un rail impostato per dare drive, l'altro impostato per riportarti indietro.
A chi è adatto
Chi surfa in regular su tavole asimmetriche con box FCS — le tavole attorno a cui questo set è stato disegnato. Chi surfa in goofy ha bisogno del set speculare, non di questo. E chi è curioso delle asimmetriche e vuole un set che funzioni da subito invece di uno che pretenda una tecnica particolare per dare qualcosa.

Your backhand and your forehand load a board differently, so the two rails get different fins: the toe-side keel gives drive and projection while still letting you pivot vertically off the bottom, and the heel-side quad arrangement is tuned for seamless redirections and clean carves on your backhand.
Our take
Buy this only if you are on a regular-foot asymmetrical board built for it — there it makes the board feel balanced under both feet rather than strong one way and vague the other. Know that the solid keel template runs stiff, leaning toward drive and projection over snappy vertical pivot, and on a standard symmetrical twin or fish it is simply the wrong fin.
