La pinna
La DELTA-V è la twin che Manny Caro ha disegnato per Mandala — un outline pieno con rake moderato, pensato per adattarsi a un'ampia varietà di tavole twin.
Una coppia twin in fibra di vetro piena, compatibile FCS, in trasparente o smoke. 5.31" di altezza su una base da 5.20" con 20.35 pollici quadrati per lato: un template pieno più che verticale, con rake moderato portato fino alla punta. Caro l'ha disegnata come quella adattabile — curve equilibrate invece di qualcosa spinto all'estremo — ed è per questo che finisce su tante tavole diverse e funziona in un ventaglio di condizioni. La fibra di vetro piena la rende rigida.
Come si sente
Base piena con rake moderato è una combinazione che tiene. La tavola mantiene la linea in uscita dal bottom invece di scivolare via da sotto il piede posteriore, e la curva si chiude come un unico arco lungo invece di pivotare. Il flex rigido vuol dire che quello che metti nella pinna torna fuori subito come drive — in uscita dal bottom e sopra il lip — senza che niente venga assorbito. Niente nell'outline è esagerato, ed è proprio questo il punto.
A chi è adatta
Alle tavole twin in generale: fish, twin moderne, mid-length con due box. Un set sensato se da una twin vuoi stabilità senza rinunciare alla curva disegnata, e una buona prima twin se arrivi da un thruster e non vuoi sentire la coda sciolta sotto i piedi.

A full template with moderate rake, sized to sit between a loose upright twin and a drivey keel — the stiff fiberglass flex holds its shape under load so the board projects off the bottom and stays committed through a hard rail turn.
Our take
This is the twin to buy when one set has to handle everything from waist-high to overhead on an egg or hybrid twin: smooth, powerful turns with more stability than a small upright twin while staying looser than a wide keel. If you want keel glide and long fast lines instead, go Lovelace Piggyback Keel or Mackie Sidecut Fish Keel.

The Delta-V Twin is a two-fin set designed by Manny Caro of Mandala Custom Shapes and made by True Ames in solid fiberglass; this is the FCS-compatible version, sold as a twin set.
