Un twinzer monta quattro pinne, ma non come un quad: ogni pinna principale ha una piccola canard montata appena davanti e più verso l'esterno. La canard rilascia un vortice sopra la pinna principale, e questo le permette di tenere a un angolo più ripido di quanto farebbe altrimenti. Il risultato è la velocità e la scioltezza di una twin, con più tenuta di quanta una twin abbia il diritto di avere.
A chi si adatta
Al meglio su una twin-fin o su un fish che già ti piace ma che vorresti tenesse un po' di più in una sezione più ripida. Mantiene la velocità della twin invece di smorzarla come fa una pinna trailer.

If your Twinzer-boxed board feels washy on steeper faces, this matched four-fin set is the fix the shaper intended -- twin freedom with bite and predictability when the wave stands up. Run it only in proper Twinzer boxes; a standard twin-box fish is better served by the plain TA Twin.

The True Ames Twinzer is a four-fin set in FCS-compatible solid fiberglass: two rear twins plus two small canards seated slightly forward of and outboard of the mains, where they break water tension before it reaches the rear pair. True Ames built the front and rear fins as a matched unit, and the set requires a board shaped with Twinzer boxes.
