Una coppia twin in fibra di vetro piena, compatibile Futures, in smoke, rosso, kelp o ivory orange. 5.35" di altezza su una base da 4.90" con 20.15 pollici quadrati per lato: verticale invece che arretrata, ed è da lì che arriva il gioco di piedi veloce. Yoshikawa è partito dalla classica twin in stile Mark Richards e ci ha messo del suo, e il risultato è una twin da performance moderna che si adatta a un'ampia gamma di tipi di tavola e di condizioni.
Come si sente
Un'altezza superiore alla base vuol dire che la pinna pivota. I cambi di direzione avvengono in fretta e in pocket, vicino alla potenza, invece di essere allungati lungo la parete. Il drive c'è comunque — non è una pinna piccola — ma il carattere è sciolto e reattivo, e la velocità arriva insieme. Aggiungere un trailer nel box centrale stabilizza la coda senza trasformare la tavola in un thruster.
A chi è adatta
A twin da performance e fish moderne surfate sul piede posteriore in pocket, da onde piccole fino a onde con una certa dimensione. Se preferisci che la tavola disegni curve più lunghe e morbide, la direzione da prendere è invece un template twin più pieno e con più rake.

The roots are the classic Mark Richards upright twin, reworked into something more modern: loose and responsive in the pocket, but with enough base to generate real drive down the line.
Our take
Put it on a twin-box fish or retro shape you want to surf playfully and quickly through the pocket; it makes fast directional changes without going washy, and on a fish in waist-to-head-high beachbreak it is lively and quick. If you want more drive and a heavier, more powerful feel, the TA Twin is the move.
ALTRO SU QUESTA PINNA
Performance twin set designed by Takuya "Tappy" Yoshikawa and made by True Ames in Futures-compatible solid fiberglass. The upright template derives from the classic Mark Richards twin and is smaller in area than the True Ames TA Twin. It is built for fish and twin-box boards and is often run with a small trailer; Yoshikawa designed a matching Tappy Trailer for that purpose.
