Wayne Rich's Nightmare keel twin, FCS compatible solid fiberglass in red or smoke.
Wayne Rich's Nightmare keel twin, FCS compatible solid fiberglass in red or smoke.
A keel is a twin fin with a long base and shallow depth. The long base is where the drive comes from โ a keel holds a line and generates speed down the face better than a taller, narrower twin. The shallow depth is why it does not pivot: a keel wants to be surfed in long arcs.
Rich's Nightmare is a raked keel rather than an upright one, so it trades a little of the classic keel stiffness for a turn you can actually finish. Suits a fish ridden off the back foot.
