Nato nel Sud della California, surfista, artista e shaper di talento, Tyler ha un occhio attento per il disegno delle linee, dentro e fuori dall'acqua. Con influenze molto diverse fra loro, punta a shapare, surfare e far evolvere una gamma ampia di design di tavole e di pinne. Questa pinna è l'accompagnamento perfetto per una varietà di longboard. Ha un foil pieno davanti che si assottiglia salendo, una buona dose di rake e una punta stretta e sensibile: tutti elementi che lavorano insieme per dare stabilità, potenza e fluidità nelle curve.

True Ames costruisce le sue pinne in Volan pensando al flex tanto quanto all'outline. Prodotta da True Ames a Santa Barbara, CA. I pannelli Volan sono laminati e sagomati in modo che la trama corra nel verso giusto, e il flex nasce dal corpo della pinna più che dalla sola punta. Questo dà velocità e proiezione in uscita dal bottom e nelle curve.
Le due misure hanno template leggermente diversi. La 10” ha più rake, una punta più allungata e una base leggermente più larga. Questo template ottiene la stessa cosa della 9.25”, ma per una tavola più grande.
Usa la 10" sui tuoi glider, sui log pintail, sui log square tail o sulle mid-length dalla coda larga. La 9.25" rende benissimo sui longboard più piccoli e sulle tavole di tipo eggy.

Built to hold in the face while still driving off the bottom: the full forward-tapering foil and narrow, sensitive tip give it both stability under the front foot and a touch of looseness off the tail, with hand-laid volan panels so the flex comes from the body and springs you out of bottom turns.
Our take
This is a noserider that turns — reach for it when your board already has glide and you want a fin that adds life through the turn. Put the 9.25" on a smaller log or egg and the 10" on a full log or wide mid-length; if you want maximum locked-down nose time and don't care about turning, the Wayne Rich Power Fin is the stiffer call.

The Flux is a longboard single fin designed by Tyler Warren and made by True Ames in volan glass, with panels hand-laid for weave orientation so flex comes from the body of the fin. The template runs a full forward-tapering foil into a narrow tip, with substantial rake through the body. It comes in two sizes, 9.25" and 10", for logs, gliders, eggs, and wide mid-lengths.
