Une lecture moderne du twin vertical traditionnel : 5.62" de hauteur sur une base de 5.13", 22.07 sq in de surface, avec un corps plein, une pointe pleine et un foil plat. Malcolm Campbell l'a dessiné et affiné ; Jacob Campbell s'est chargé des tests.
Ce que cela donne
C'est la hauteur qui tient le tail dans une face creuse, et avec 5.62" ce twin est haut. Porter la surface jusque dans la pointe maintient cette tenue en haut du virage et pas seulement en bas : la dérive relance fort en sortie de bottom et ne décroche pas quand la vague se dresse. C'est l'outline vertical qui la garde vive : les changements rail to rail restent courts, même avec autant de dérive dans l'eau.
À qui il convient
Les planches twin performance dans des conditions consistantes, surfées par quelqu'un qui veut s'engager sur une ligne de rail plutôt que patiner. Dans des vagues molles, c'est plus de dérive que la vague ne pourra charger.

Run the Alpha Omega on a performance twin when you want speed, drive, and looseness in balance from an upright template — it's the do-it-all upright twin. If you want planted keel drive and trim, the Beamish is the fit; if you want maximum loose release, the 'I'iwi.

The Alpha Omega Twin is an upright twin-fin template designed by Malcolm Campbell with testing by Jacob Campbell, made by True Ames in Futures-compatible solid fiberglass. The design draws on the fast, flowing twins of the 1970s with a refined balance of base, depth, rake, and foil, carrying a full body and tip. It runs as a standalone twin set on twin-fin boards and performance twin hulls, not as part of a Bonzer cluster.
