La Farberow Flex a vu le jour quand Josh Farberow, un véritable maestro qui surfe avec une précision chirurgicale, est venu nous voir avec une demande. Il nous a demandé si nous pouvions prendre notre template emblématique California Classic et en retravailler le foil pour lui donner un flex puissant et orienté performance. Farberow — acteur clé du renouveau du longboard au début des années 90 et figure de la scène surf de Malibu — surfe incroyablement bien aussi bien en haut qu'en bas de la vague, excelle dans les turns critiques dans la poche, et possède en prime un noseride intemporel. Cette dérive convient bien au longboard de style performance de Josh dans les point breaks de droite, et son supplément de ressort et d'énergie peut vraiment enrichir votre surf à vous aussi. Le corps moyen, associé au rake et au flex finement réglé de ce design, vous apportera une stabilité sur laquelle compter, de la confiance dans des turns fluides, et un supplément de puissance et de projection. The idea was to keep the proven California Classic shape but foil it thinner so the fin loads and springs under load — developed for his own performance longboarding in right-hand point surf.
This is the fin for a performance log under a surfer who wants to work the whole wave, not just park on the nose — it adds lively flex and projection to the California Classic outline. If you want the same outline stiffer and more predictable, go California Classic; if you want planted nose time instead of spring, go Dewey Weber Hatchet.

The Farberow Flex is a single fin made by True Ames with Josh Farberow, taking the California Classic template and foiling it thinner for a performance level of flex. It has a medium body with rake and comes in three sizes: 9.0", 9.5", and 10.0", with most performance logs landing on the 9.5". It was developed for Farberow's performance longboarding in right-hand point surf.
