About Us

Pemulis Water & Power was founded in 2023 in the Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco by Molly Thomas. A lifelong thrill seeker and poor financial planner with no experience in retail, running a small business, or working in the surf or motorsport industries in any capacity, Molly conceived of and began building the shop after experiencing a slight mental breakdown brought on by an extremely eventful month in December 2022 when she lost all of her possessions in an apartment fire and was fired from her tech job exactly 30 days later.

With a clean slate of sorts and a decade of experience working in manufacturing and operations in a completely unrelated field, Molly did what few others could- started spending all her money building a shop that nobody asked for or needed. She likes surfing, she loves riding dirt bikes, and if you had only seen all the cool stuff she had collected in her apartment from her travels around the world before it was all reduced to rubble in that fire, you would know that she has a preternatural ability and drive to find and acquire unique, high quality, and interesting things.

Rather than focusing on making lots of branded shop merchandise, Molly is on a quest to hunt and gather a collection of stuff you didn't even know you wanted- no! needed until you came to Pemulis Water & Power.
