このフィンについて
Hobie Alter の Legacy テンプレート。面積をたっぷり取り、レイクを深く寝かせたロングボード用シングルフィンで、グライドとノーズでの時間のために描かれています。
グロス仕上げのソリッドファイバーグラス製のトラディショナルなロングボードフィンで、カラーはスモーク、サイズは 10.0" と 10.5" です。アウトラインはベースがゆったりとしており、そこから後方へ長く寝ていきます。フォイルはフル、レイクははっきりと深めです。これがクラシックな処方で、テールでターンさせることを求めるフィンではなく、ログをトリムに収め、そのまま落ち着いて読みやすく走らせ続けるフィンです。二つの高さのうち、高いほうが面積も粘りも大きく、低いほうはその一部を返しています。
どう感じられるか
このフィンを性格づけているのはレイクです。面積をボックスの後方へ寝かせることで、ターンはタイトではなく長く描かれます。素早いピボットよりも、ドロップニーのカットバックやテールに落ち着かせた体重に応えるのはそのためです。深さとフルフォイルが、前へ歩いている間もテールを押さえておく粘りを生みます。逆にできないのは、トップで一気に離すことや、自らの長さの内側で回ることです。
どんな方に向くか
トリム、ノーズでの時間、そして長く弧を描くターンのために乗るトラディショナルなロングボードに。ノーズライドが第一で、カットバックは弾くのではなく伸ばし、要はグライドを楽しむ乗り方です。ポケットでテールを使って攻めるボードには、立ったピボット系のアウトラインが合います。こちらはそれをレイクと引き換えにしています。

Our take
Put it on a traditional log when glide and tip time are the priority: it delivers a reliable, locked-in feel with long arcing or drop-knee turns rather than snappy ones. If you want to surf the board rail to rail and turn off the tail, look elsewhere — the Heritage pivots tighter and the Hobie Classic turns more crisply.
