このフィンについて
Justin Quintal の Pivot。ティップをフルに残した立ったロングボードフィンで、サイズは 9.75" の一種類、ノーズライドとカービングの両方のために作られています。
ソリッドファイバーグラス製、カラーはブラックホワイト、フォイルは 50/50 です。立ったアウトラインにモデレートなレイク、そしてティップにたっぷり残された面積。これはトラディショナルなノーズライドの処方であり、レールを深く入れたときにはきちんと回ってくるところまで仕上げられています。True Ames が Quintal とともに描いたもので、現代的なターン性能を組み込んだオールドスクールのテンプレートとして感じられます。ボードのどこに立っていても求めたことに応えます。テールからの深いカービングも、ノーズの下の落ち着いた土台も。
どう感じられるか
立ったアウトラインは面積を後方ではなくボードの下に置くため、ターンはフィンを軸に起こります。テールが据わり、ボードは長く引き延ばされるのではなく短い半径で回ります。フルなティップはこのデザインのノーズライド側で、体重が前に移ったときの粘りを支えるのが深い面積です。レイクは無いのではなくモデレートですので、その場で回るだけでなくラインを伸ばしていくこともできます。
どんな方に向くか
トラディショナルに乗りながら、きちんとサーフィンするログに。ノーズライドが第一で、そこに穏やかである必要のないカービングが加わります。ターンの終わりにもっとリリースが欲しい方は、カッタウェイのアウトラインをご覧ください。こちらの粘りの一部を、短い半径と引き換えにしています。

Our take
Put it on an all-around log when you want one fin that noserides and carves without committing to either extreme. If you want a looser, more aggressive turning fin, go to the Quintal Cutty; if your priority is maximum planted nose hold, the Heritage is the call.
