このフィンについて
Ryan Burch による、レギュラースタンス向けに切られたアシンメトリーの三本セットです。トゥサイドにツインフィンを一本、ヒールサイドにパドル形状のフィンを二本という構成です。
ソリッドファイバーグラス製、ロー仕上げのフィン三本、Futures ベース、カラーはスモークです。トゥサイドのフィンは Burch Twin で、高さ 4.97"、ベース 5.32"。ヒールサイドには 4.19" と 3.54" の小さめのフィンが二本入り、これは Burch のパドルの考え方から描かれています。その考え方自体は、George Greenough のパドルフィンと Daniel "Tomo" Thompson のフィンの実験に由来します。三本とも内側の面はフラットで、パドルフィンをヒール側のレールに置く、レギュラースタンス用の配置です。
どう感じられるか
左右のレールには、対称の同じフィンではなく、それぞれに必要なフィンが入ります。フロントサイドでボトムから踏み込むとき、トゥサイドの一本のツインはドライブがあり、素早く、力に満ちています。ヒールサイドでは、後縁を削ぎ落とした二本の寸詰まりのパドルフィンが、切り返しのときとレールに乗せたときに開いていくため、そのターンはレスポンスがよく、なめらかで、ルースに出てきます。狙いは、左右のレールをどちらも効かせ続け、それぞれの切り返しが互いに釣り合うようにすることです。

そのスタンス用に切られた三つの Futures プラグを持つアシンメトリーの板に乗る、レギュラースタンスの方に。アシンメトリーに描かれた板の下でこそ意味を持つセットなので、なぜアシンメトリーを求めるのかがすでに分かっている方に向きます。グーフィースタンスの方は、同じセットのグーフィー用をお選びください。

Our take
This is the set for a regular-footer on a dedicated asymmetrical board who wants the frontside powerful and the backside free — it shines on punchy beachbreak and steeper walls where forehand and backhand demand different things. Goofy-footers need the Goofy version, and on a standard symmetrical twin or fish you should run the Burch Twin instead.

The Ryan Burch Asymmetrical Regular is a 1+2 asymmetrical fin set for regular-foot asymmetrical boards, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with Futures-compatible bases. The toe-side fin is taken from the Burch Twin template, while the heel-side fins use Burch's paddle concept, inspired by Greenough's paddle fins and Tomo's fin experimentation, with a stubby outline and cutaway trailing edge. A mirrored Goofy version exists for goofy-foot riders.
