3.25" のサイドバイト2本セット、ソリッドファイバーグラス、Futures 対応。シングルフィンのボードを 2+1 にする、小さなアウトサイドフィンです。
サイドバイトはシングルフィンのボードを 2+1 に変えます。舵を取るのはあくまでセンターフィンで、2本の小さなフィンがターン中の粘りと、ボトムからのドライブを加えます。引き換えに、シングルフィン単体が持つルースでピボットの効いた感触は多少失われます。だからこそ、サイズ選びが本当の判断どころになります。
このサイズについて
3.25" は3つのなかで最も控えめなサイズです。ログのルースさをほとんど損なうことなく、噛みつきを加えます。ほんの少しだけ粘りが欲しい、それ以上は要らない、という場合に選ぶサイズです。
構造
ソリッドファイバーグラスは2つの構造のうち硬く重いほうで、しなりは少なく、よりダイレクトなドライブをもたらします。

It grips when the board is on rail and stays quiet through trim, so the single-fin character holds up -- and the solid fiberglass gives the pair a slightly stiffer, more positive feel than the lighter Hexcore version.
The pair for a Futures-boxed mid-length 2+1 that feels slidey on steeper drops: added hold without losing single-fin glide, run with a 6.5" to 7.5" center fin. For a full longboard 2+1 with real drive, step up to the 3.7 instead.
The True Ames Side Bite 3.25 is a 3.25"-tall side bite in solid fiberglass with Futures-compatible bases, sold as a pair. It is designed for 2+1 setups on mid-lengths in roughly the 7'0" to 8'0" range, run alongside a 6.5" to 7.5" center fin. The same template is also offered in lighter Hexcore construction and in an FCS-compatible version, and True Ames makes a larger 3.7" size.
