このフィンについて
Kevin Connelly の KC Tri。中間の体重帯のサーファーに向けたオールラウンドなスラスターセットで、FCS 互換、Hexcore 仕様です。
鋭いピボットよりも、なめらかでパワフルなターンを軸に組み立てられた三本セット。アークの終わりでフィンが荷重から解放されるだけのティップのしなりを備えています。こちらは Hexcore バージョンで、テンプレートは同じまま、ソリッドグラスに対して重量を削っています。テンプレートはデプス 4.67"、ベース 4.56"、面積 15.71 sq in です。
乗り味について
硬いスラスターとこのセットを分けているのはティップのしなりです。荷重でティップがわずかにたわみ、ターンから抜けるときに弾き返すので、テンプレートから想像するよりも軽い力でカットバックが返ってきます。ボディは硬いままなので、そのためにドライブやホールドを手放してはいません。

A middleweight all-arounder with meaningful tip flex: the tip loads up as you bank into a turn and springs back through the exit, so the drive feels like it comes from the fin and not just from your legs.
Our take
Put the KC on your everyday thruster shortboard when you want smooth, drivey, powerful turns rather than nervous, twitchy ones — it carves long and pushes through the back end of a turn instead of pivoting and stalling. It's a set for power surfers, and a friendly landing spot if you're coming off a single fin or midlength; if you want sharper release off the lip, step over to the TA Tri instead.

The KC is a three-fin thruster set from True Ames, offered here in solid fiberglass with FCS-compatible tabs. The template features built-in tip flex, and its foil sits in the middle of True Ames' thruster lineup in terms of size and stiffness. It is intended for standard performance thruster shortboards, and the same set is also stocked with Futures bases.
