Transistor は、Tappy Yoshikawa による幅広いベースとはっきりとしたレイクを持つロングボードテンプレートです。Volan で作られ、サイズは 9.5" と 10.0" です。
標準的なロングボードボックス用の Volan ファイバーグラス製で、二サイズ展開です。傾斜のついたリーディングエッジと、幅広く立ったベースが、そこから素早くはっきりとしたレイクへ移り、ティップは細くしなります。これは二つの判断を意図的にぶつけたものです。ドライブと粘りのためのベースとレイク、感触のための薄いティップ。True Ames は Volan をアウトラインと同じくらいフレックスを軸につくっており、織り目が正しい方向に走るようにパネルをレイアップすることで、フレックスはフィン本体から生まれます。
どう感じられるか
幅広く立ったベースが、ボトムからのドライブをたっぷりと生みます。その後ろのレイクが、弧の終わりでフィンが唐突に感じられるのを防ぎます。粘りはボードの前三分の一に体重が乗ったときに現れるため、前へ歩いても流れてしまわず、ついてきます。繊細さが宿るのは細いティップで、荷重で撓んで弾き返します。それがボトムターンでの曖昧さではなく、伸びとして感じられます。
どんな方に向くか
意図を持って乗るログに。行き先のあるボトムターン、前での時間、そして粘るだけでなく応えるフィンを好む乗り方です。ボードが大きい場合や波が大きい場合は 10.0"、テールをより楽に回したい場合は 9.5" をお選びください。

The design gives plenty of drive off of the bottom, and hold when the front third of the board is weighted, while the narrow flexible tip creates feel and sensitivity through turns.
Our take
This is a more performance-leaning log fin than a pure pivot: put it on a performance log or heavier mid-length single you want to surf rail to rail and still walk forward on. If your priority is pure planted noseriding, step to the Tappy 1 or the Velzy Noserider instead.

The shape ramps off a wide, upright base into distinct rake toward a narrow, flexible tip. It comes in 9.5" and 10.0" sizes and is intended for longboards and heavier mid-length singles.
