Timeless classic curves with enough base for hold, enough upright section for pivot, and enough rake for drive — the kind of all-around log template that does not chase any one trick.
Put it on a traditional log you want to noseride, pivot, and trim without overthinking it, sizing up to the 10 inch for bigger boards and more hold. It's the no-gimmick all-rounder; go Velzy Noserider if you want pure tip time, or the Wayne Rich Highliner if you want volan flex and projection.

The Yater Apocalypse is a classic longboard single fin from shaper Renny Yater, foiled by True Ames in solid fiberglass and offered in 9.5" and 10.0" sizes. The template is the same one Yater glassed onto a board he was commissioned to shape in the early 1960s for screenwriter John Milius, tied to Apocalypse Now. True Ames kept the outline in its archive for decades before re-releasing it in 2018, and it fits a traditional single-box log.
