He built it with a deliberately slightly stiff flex, which is the reason it holds power, lift, and drive rather than bending and washing out.
This is the fin for the surfer who doesn't want to choose: enough base and area to walk forward and get nose time, enough rake and backbone to project and turn when you step back. If your priority is dedicated classic noseriding hold, go with the Harmonic '67; if you want a looser, springier feel, the Velzy Classic.

The Highliner is Wayne Rich's all-around longboard single fin, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with a raw finish. The template pairs a generous base with rake and a slender upper profile, built with a slightly stiff flex. Four sizes are stocked: 9", 9.5", 10", and 10.3". It was designed to pair with Rich's Wildcard 3 and Checkmate shapes.
